Toyota Myanmar introduced the global best-seller Corolla Altis, with over 47.5 million units sold to date, to the local market earlier this month.
The all-new Corolla Altis will be sold at the price of $36,000, with seven exterior and two interior colors to choose from. The sedan also comes with a three-year or 100,000 k.m. warranty and comprehensive after-sale support through authorized Toyota dealers.
The car offers leading-edge driving performance made possible by Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA). It is designed to have a lower center of gravity for better balance, stability and handling on curves. The double wishbone rear suspension substantially boosts the car’s stability and ensures smooth rides.
As a safety feature, the sedan is equipped with a pre-collision system (PCS) that uses sensors to detect a preceding vehicle, pedestrians and bicyclists on the vehicle’s path. When it judges that there is a possibility of a collision, PCS assists the driver in collision avoidance maneuver with a warning and brake control.
The car’s Dynamic Radar Cruise Control can detect a preceding vehicle and allows for following it while maintaining a suitable vehicle-to-vehicle distance. Its Lane Departure Alert (with steering control)/Lane Tracing Assist is a new advanced driving support system assisting the driver in steering control with gentle inputs to keep the vehicle in the center of the lane, even on curves.
The Automatic High Beam detects surrounding light during nighttime driving and automatically switches between high and low beams to contribute to securing visibility and reducing glare towards oncoming traffic.
Other safety features include Back Camera and Sonar System, Vehicle Stability Control, Hill-start Assist Control, Traction Control System, Anti-lock Brake System, Electronic Brake-force Distribution, 7 SRS Airbag System, Brake Assist and Global Outstanding Assessment Body with Side Door Impact Beams.
Toyota is building an assembly plant in Thilawa Special Economic Zone to produce 2,500 Toyota Hiluxes annually under the SKD system. The $52.6 million plant will be staffed with 130 employees when it starts operation in 2021.

Toyota သည် ပြည်တွင်းတွင် SKD စနစ်ဖြင့် မော်တော်ယာဉ်များထုတ်လုပ်နိုင်ရန် သီလဝါအထူးစီးပွားရေးဇုန်တွင် စက်ရုံတည်ဆောက်လျက်ရှိပြီး ယင်းစက်ရုံမှ တစ်နှစ်လျှင် Toyota Hilux ယာဉ်အစီးရေ ၂၅၀၀ ထုတ်လုပ်သွားမည်ဖြစ်သည်။ အမေရိကန်ဒေါ်လာ ၅၂.၆သန်းခန့်ကို ရင်းနှီးမြုပ်နှံထားပြီး စက်ရုံလည်ပတ်ချိန်တွင် ဝန်ထမ်းပေါင်း ၁၃၀ဦခန့်ဖြင့် လုပ်ငန်းလည်ပတ်သွားမည်ဖြစ်သည့် စက်ရုံတွင် လာမည့်၂၀၂၁ ခုနှစ်အတွင်း ကားထုတ်လုပ်ရေးစတင်သွားမည်ဖြစ်ကြောင်း သိရသည်။
