Following the report of COVID-19 cases, local airlines announced the suspension of domestic flight schedules from May 29 to June 8, 2021, according to the agents.
“As per the recently released restricted movement order guideline by Local Authorities to prevent the continuous spread of the COVID-19, MAI & Air KBZ will temporarily suspend its Kalay, Dawei, Myeik, Kawthaung and Tachileik operations, effective 29 May to 08 Jun 2021,” Air KBZ announcement said.
It offers one-time date change free to the next available flight based on seat availability within ticket validity or until 30 Jun 2021, and one-time name change free.
The Ministry of Health and Sports under the military regime reported 96 new cases of Covid-19 on May 27, which is the highest number of cases in the last three months.
Moreover, restrictions on all international airlines operating air services to and from the Yangon International Airport remained until 31 May.
