Central Bank of Myanmar has purchased $43 million in October through bidding.
It purchased $3.7 million on October 2, $3.8 million between 5 and 8 October, $7.7 million on October 9, $3.7 million on October 19, $1.85 million on October 20, $3.8 million on October 23, $3.7 million on October 26 and $3.35 million on October 27.
Despite a large amount of the US dollar purchase by the central bank, the dollar rate against Myanmar Kyat remained weak at just over K1,300 per dollar on October 30.
Due to the US election and Myanmar’s economic condition, the dollar rate will likely to remain weak against Myanmar Kyat.
In September, the Central Bank also bought $44.2 million through bidding in order to stabilize the exchange rate.
The Central Bank of Myanmar said that the reason it purchases and resells the dollar is to reduce sudden price fluctuation and increase foreign currency funds.

အောက်တိုဘာလ တစ်လအတွင်း ဗဟိုဘဏ်မှ ကန်ဒေါ်လာများဝယ်ယူခဲ့သော်လည်းအောက်တို ဘာ ၃၀ရက်နေ့တွင် ကန်ဒေါ်လာစျေးနှုန်းမှာ တစ်ဒေါ်လာလျှင် ၁၃၀၀ကျပ်အထက်၌ ရပ်တည် ခဲ့သည်။
အမေရိကန်နိုင်ငံ၏ရွေးကောက်ပွဲအခြေအနေနှင့် နိုင်ငံရေးစီးပွားရေး အခြေအနေများကြောင့် ကန် ဒေါ်လာစျေးနှုန်းများမှာ ယခုလပိုင်းအတွင်း အကျဘက်သို့ ဦးတည်နေကြောင်း စီးပွားရေး လေ့လာသူတို့က သုံးသပ်ထားသည်။
ဗဟိုဘဏ်သည် ယခုနှစ် စက်တင်ဘာလ အတွင်းကလည်း နိုင်ငံခြားငွေဈေးပြိုင် လေလံ စနစ်ဖြင့် အမေရိကန်ဒေါ်လာ ၄၄ ဒဿမ ၂ သန်း ဝယ်ယူခဲ့သေးသည်။
ဗဟိုဘဏ်အနေဖြင့်လည်း လေလံစနစ်ဖြင့် ဒေါ်လာများ ဝယ်ယူ၊ ရောင်းချနေခြင်းသည် အချိန်တိုအတွင်း ဒေါ်လာ အတက်၊အကျ မများစေ ရန်နှင့် နိုင်ငံခြားသုံး၊ ရန်ပုံငွေကို ဖြည့်တင်းရန် အတွက်သာဖြစ်သည်ဟု ထုတ်ပြန်ထားသည်။
