အောက်တွင် မြန်မာလို ဖတ်ရှုနိုင်ပါသည်
Central Bank of Myanmar has purchased a total of $169.6 million from the market as of today since January 2 this year as the local currency has been strong against the greenback for months.
The central bank has been buying the US dollar through auctions since January.
However, an official from the Central Bank of Myanmar claimed that the central bank is not trying to manipulate the local currency market.
“We are just trying to minimize rapid price fluctuation in the domestic foreign currency market. We are not trying to bring up or down the currency rates,” U Soe Min, Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Myanmar, told Myanmar Business Today.
The reason behind Myanmar Kyat being strong against the US dollar is that the country’s import decreased leading to reduced foreign currency spending.
Dollar rate against Myanmar Kyat has been weak as low as K1,369 per dollar.

၂၀၂၀ ပြည့် နှစ် ဇန်နဝါရီ ၂ ရက်မှ ဇူလိုင် ၁၃ ရက်အထိ ဒေါ်လာ ၁၆၈ ဒသမ ၉ သန်းဝယ် ယူထားကြောင်း မြန်မာနိုင်ငံတော် ဗဟိုဘဏ်က ထုတ်ပြန်ထားသော စာရင်းများအရ သိရသည်။
