China is pleased to see that Myanmar has established and developed ties with other countries in the world, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said during talks with his Myanmar counterpart U Wunna Maung Lwin last week.
Wang said he believed Myanmar’s development path would be in line with its own situation and national interest.
Wang vowed that the two sides would enhance cooperation on major economic and trade projects and advance the interconnectivity between the two countries. He said both the countries will explore ways to establish the Bangladesh-China- India-Myanmar (BCIM) economic corridor programme.
Wang said the two countries should make joint efforts to enhance China-ASEAN ties.
U Wunna Maung Lwin said Myanmar values Chi- China Glad to See Myanmar Develop Ties with Other Countries Kyaw Min na’s long-term support and is ready to strengthen cooperation on major projects, interconnectivity and border stability.
Myanmar will work to facilitate China-ASEAN relations, he noted.
