Thailand-based KP Solution and Consult Co (KPSC) Ltd has opened a showroom of one of Japan’s leading electric wire producer, Yazaki, in a bid to tap the country’s booming construction sector, the firm said.
Kwanjai Sirawongvanich, managing director of KPSC, said the company sees the “potential of the growing construction sector in Myanmar and the opportunity to introduce high quality Yazaki electric wire products with reasonable price” to the market across all sectors, ranging from household, private and government projects.
KPSC, which has exclusive distributorship of Yazaki wires in Myanmar, will offer various types of electric wires in Myanmar with support team for customers. The firm said it will conduct monthly workshops to educate local engineers about electric wires.
Myanmar’s recent opening up has sparked a boom in the country’s construction sector. According to a report by research firm Timetric, Myanmar construction sector grew around 14 percent in the last four years.
The growth is expected to continue in the next four years due to the government’s desperate efforts to improve the country’s hapless infrastructure. The demand for electric wires in construction sector is expected to surge along with that.
KPSC is a branch of S Suppakit Vanich Electric Wire in Thailand. Established in 1978, Suppakit Vanich has been Yazaki’s authorised distributors in Thailand for over 40 years. The company’s main products are two types of cable wires which are copper conductor and aluminium conductor.
Suppakit Vanich said it has appointed KPSC, its subsidiary, to be the distributor for Yazaki products in Myanmar, in line with its regional expansion plan.
