Jade exports have dropped seven percent in the first eight months of this fiscal year, according to the Ministry of National Planning and Economic Development.
Earnings were $847 million during the period, while it was $912 million in the same period last year.
The majority of jade is traded overland, with $575 million worth of trade crossing land borders, as opposed to $272 million in maritime trade.
For the entire fiscal year 2013-14, 15,061 tonnes of jade exports brought $1.01 billion into the country, according to official figures.
