Five businesspeople from Myanmar have been selected to attend the ASEAN CEO Program that will be held in Tokyo and Osaka from March 7 to 13, according to the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI).
The event, hosted by Small and Medium Enterprises and Regional Innovation, Japan (SMRJ), will invite over 50 companies from ASEAN countries to participate in business-related events.
The program agenda includes business matching with Japanese firms, business training, and visits to Japanese businesses and factories in Tokyo and Osaka, Japan’s largest and second-largest city respectively.
The Myanmar businesspeople participating in the program are from construction, agricultural, and machinery sectors, according to UMFCCI.
Japan has been providing support to develop Myanmar’s SMEs by organising business matching programs and discussions between businesspeople of the two countries, and promoting opportunities for business cooperation.
