Local gold prices, which were weak in November, have regained in early December reflecting global gold prices.
On November 30, global gold was traded at $1,770 per ounce and local gold at around K1.267 million per tical. (1 tical = 0.57 ounce)
The local gold prices began a steady climb reflecting the global gold prices since December 1. The global gold prices reached $1,810-1,840 on December 3 and 4 with domestic gold prices reflecting it reaching K1.3-1.301 million per tical.
In the local market, the 24k gold has huge demand along with high prices while the supply is disturbed by the restriction measures to curb the spread of the COVID-19.
Currently, the country exports gold under the One-Stop service but most of the exports are jewelry and the gold traders are still unable to export large quantities.

ဒီဇင်ဘာလ တစ်ရက်နေ့တွင် ကမ္ဘာ့ရွှေစျေးနှုန်း များ အနည်းငယ် မြင့်တက်လာပြီးမြန်မာ့ရွှေ စျေးနှုန်း များလည်း တက်ရိပ်ပြလာခဲ့သည်။ ဒီဇင်ဘာလ ၃ရက်နေ့နှင့် ၄ ရက်နေ့များတွင် ကမ္ဘာ့ရွှေ စျေးနှုန်းများ ဆက်လက်မြင့်တက် လာပြီး တစ်အောင်စလျှင် ဒေါ်လာ ၁၈၁၀ မှ ၁၈၄၀အထိ ပြန်လည် မြင့်တက်လာခဲ့သော ကြောင့် ပြည်တွင်း ရွှေစျေးနှုန်းများမှာလည်း တစ်ကျပ်သားလျှင် ကျပ် ၁၃၀၀၀၀၀ မှ ကျပ် ၁၃၀၁၀၀၀ အတွင်း စျေးနှုန်းများ ပြောင်းလဲ လာခဲ့သည်။
ထိုသို့ ရွှေစျေးနှုန်းများပြန်လည်မြင့်တက် လာမှု နှင့်အတူ ပြည်တွင်းစျေးကွက်၌ အခေါက်ရွှေများ ပစ္စည်းပြတ်သည်အထိ အရောင်းအဝယ် ရှိခဲ့ ကြောင်း မြန်မာနိုင်ငံရွှေလုပ်ငန်းရှင်များအသင်းမှ သိရသည်။
လက်ရှိတွင် ကိုဗစ်ကာလဖြစ်သောကြောင့် လမ်း ပန်းဆက်သွယ်ရေး အခက်အခဲများ ရှိနေပြီး ရန်ကုန်စျေးကွက်သို့ ရွှေကုန်ကြမ်းအဝင်နည်း ကာ ပစ္စည်းပြတ်နေကြောင်းလည်း ရွှေရောင်း ဝယ်သူတို့က ဆိုသည်။
