Cycle & Carriage Automobile Myanmar Co Ltd, the authorised dealer of Mercedes-Benz in Myanmar, is to introduce buses manufactured by the German automaker to the Myanmar market.
U Aung Thet Lwin, head of the company’s sales department, said that buses produced by Mercedes will be introduced as buses currently in use in the country are old, unsafe and inconvenient for people.
“The other busses used in foreign countries are up to international standards. But that’s not the case here. We are going to introduce Mercedes buses so that commuters can take the buses comfortably. We are not sure about the demand yet, it will depend on the customers,” he said.
Cycle & Carriage Automobile Myanmar has Mercedes show rooms in Yangon and Mandalay and distributes about 20 models of Mercedes in the country.
