The Department of Civil Aviation (DCA) under the Ministry of Transport has invited local contractors with “relevant experience” to submit sealed bids for the design, construction and execution of a three-star hotel located at Thandwe Airport in Myanmar’s Rakhine state.
The project will be implemented through either on a build-operate-transfer (BOT) basis or contractual agreement in accordance with the existing Investment Law, DCA said in an announcement.
The main scope of works for the project will include: detailed design, drop off area, lobby and front office (front desk, cashier, registration, information, public telephone, baggage storage), breakfast and dining area, business centre, administration office, sea-view bungalows, retail (such as ticked office, souvenir shop), food and beverages, recreations and entertainment area (such as snooker room, music room), the announcement said.
The project will also include function areas such as meeting rooms, banquette hall, guest rooms, laundry, M&E facilities, maintenance and engineering (communication, electrical, water supply and drainage, furniture and fitting, fire protection and security, waste treatment), car parking and service access, swimming pool and fitness facilities, landscaping and service quarter.
The tender documents in English can be purchased by interested firms through submission of a written application and evidence of payment of a non-refundable fee of K50,000 by means of a bank transfer to: Current Account No.MD 010019, Myanmar Economic Bank, Insein, DCA said.
The deadline for proposal submission is 3:00 pm on March 31, 2014.
