Amazing Ngapali Resort, located on the wide sweeping beach in Ngapali in Myanmar’s Rakhine state has recently won the ASEAN Green Award, the company said.
The ASEAN Green Award recognises those who have met the ASEAN Green Hotel standards.
A “Green Hotel” is one which is environmentally friendly and employs energy conservation measures. Green Hotels must have an environmental plan, use green products and provide training for the staff in energy conservation and environmental management.
Hlaing Hlaing Win, general manager of the Amazing Hotels and Resorts, accepted the award at the ASEAN Tourism Forum 2014 held in Kuching, Malaysia.
Amazing Ngapali Resort had also won the ASEAN Green Hotel Standard Award in previous years.
