Myanmar to Cooperate With Foreign Software Companies

Myanma Computer Company (MCC), Myanmar’s largest ICT firm, will cooperate with Germany-based SAP in order to promote IT sector of the country.

Liher Urbizu Sierra, managing director of SAP Indochina, and chairman of MCC Group U Tin Win Aung signed an agreement on the use of SAP Enterprise Resource Planning software in Yangon last week.

SAP North Consulting Group, which produces enterprise solutions to Microsoft, Oracle and other companies and MCC Group, will now provide service of enterprise resource planning software to the ICT companies of Myanmar.

In 1986, MCC started off as the first ever computer training school in Myanmar and later incorporated Myanma Computer Co Ltd in 1989 to expand into other ICT-related activities .
