Myanmar to Host International Conference on Oil and Gas

Myanmar is going to host an international conference on oil and gas next month as the Southeast Asian nation’s oil and gas industry is set for further expansion and growth in onshore and off-shore exploration.

The Myanmar Oil & Gas Week 2014, organised by Vietnam-based Minh Vi Exhibition and Advertisement Service Co Ltd (VEAS), ECMI ITE Asia Sdn Bhd and ITE Group Plc, will take place at Traders Hotel, Yangon from 24 to 27 February.

The Ministry of Energy of Myanmar (MOE) and Myanmar Oil and Gas Enterprises (MOGE) are also going to coorganise the show.

The exhibition will be include pre-conference workshops on improving international and domestic know-how and site visit to Thanlyin oil refinery on 27 February.

Myanmar has grown remarkably in the oil and gas industry since global sanctions eased and it opened its door to invite foreign investors for project collaborations.
