Telecom operator Mytel is partnering with Myanmar Book Aid and Preservation Foundation (MBAPF) to organize digital and information literacy training for students and faculty from 14 universities across the country.
The two partners signed a memorandum of understanding November 27 at Park Royal Hotel, Naypyidaw.
According to the MoU, Mytel will help conduct digital literacy training through Beyond Access Myanmar Libraries, government departments, NGOs, universities and other educational institutions. The training drive is part of the University of Washington’s Information Strategies for Societies in Transition Program, which has already benefited some 8,000 participants in Myanmar.
Training of 49,525 students from 14 universities will take place under a cooperation agreement between MBAPF and the Ministry of Education, with two sessions per month from December 2019 to July 2020.
“I believe our children will be the future leaders of Myanmar and education plays a very important role in their lives,” said U Zaw Min Oo, Mytel’s chief external relations officer. “Hence, we have cooperated with MBAPF to fulfil all our corporate social responsibility commitments to improve the digital assessments in higher education and in universities,”
The program aims to train Myanmar’s university students and lecturers to be able to integrate the essential tools and processes of information and communications technology into daily classroom activities and university-related businesses. This will improve the digital ecosystem of universities and serve as a stepping stone towards transforming Myanmar into a digital country.
At each training session, 30 lecturers from participating universities will be trained by MBAPF. The 14 universities include the University of East Yangon, University of Medicine 1, Pyay University, Pyay Technological University, Technological University (Maubin), Technological University (Hinthada), Pathein University, Technological University (Pathein), Bago University, Government Technical College (Mohnyin), Technological University (Hpa-An), Government Technical College (Myingyan), Technological University (Sagaing), and Government Technical Institute (Chauk).

နားလည်မှု စာချွန်လွှာအရ Mytel သည် ဒစ်ဂျစ်တယ်နည်းပညာ တတ်မြောက်မှု ပရိုဂရမ်၏ တစ်စိတ်တစ်ပိုင်းအနေဖြင့် ဝါရှင်တန်တက္ကသိုလ်မှ လူမှုအဖွဲ့အစည်း အသွင်ကူးပြောင်းရေးအစီအစဉ်တွင် အချက်အလက်ပိုင်းဆိုင်ရာ နည်းဗျူဟာများကို သင်ကြားပို့ချပေးသွားမည်ဖြစ်သည်။

မြန်မာကျောင်းသားများနှင့် တက္ကသိုလ်များမှ ဆရာ/ဆရာမများ အားလုံးကို နေ့စဉ်သင်ခန်းစာများနှင့် တက္ကသိုလ်နှင့်သက်ဆိုင်သော စီးပွားရေးလုပ်ငန်းများတွင် ICT ၏မရှိမဖြစ်သော လုပ်ဆောင်ချက်များကို သင်ကြားပို့ချပေးနိုင်ရန် ရည်ရွယ်၍ ယခုကဲ့သို့ ပူးပေါင်းလုပ်ဆောင်ခြင်းဖြစ်သည်။
ထိုသို့ပြုလုပ်ခြင်းဖြင့် ဒစ်ဂျစ်တယ်ဂေဟစနစ်ကို အကျိုးပြုစေနိုင်ပြီး မြန်မာနိုင်ငံအား ဒစ်ဂျစ်တယ်နိုင်ငံအဖြစ်သို့ ပြောင်းလဲနိုင်ရန် ခြေလှမ်းတစ်အခုအဖြစ် စတင်နိုင်မည်ဖြစ်သည်။
