Malaysia’s OCK Group Bhd has incorporated a subsidiary with Myanmar Integrated Networks (MIN) to expand its footprint in Myanmar’s booming IT and telecommunications market.
The new subsidiary, MIN-OCK Infrastructure Pte Ltd, aims to explore opportunities in the provision of tower facilities, utilities and communication network for mobile and broadband operators, the firm said in a stock announcement.
“We will be actively exploring the market in Myanmar for future contracts. At this point of time Myanmar is one of the fastest growing telecommunication network markets and we are keen to participate in the opportunities that arise in the country,” group managing director Sam Ooi told Malaysian media.
“We are optimistic for the future of the group, and will continue to strategise and execute our expansions plans to continue with our business growth momentum,” Ooi added.
