iMyanmarHouse.com, a local real estate website, organized a four-week long online real estate expo-claimed to be the first one in the country-and sold 124 units of real estate when the expo ended.
The online expo started on May 7 and ended on June 4 receiving interests from buyers.
“During the lockdown, we organized an online real estate expo that no one has ever done in Myanmar aiming to fulfill the housing demand. Customers can browse the properties online and our sales staff will call and explain if the customers want to know details,” U Nay Min Thu, Managing Director of iMyanmarHouse.com, said.
A lot of planned housing expos were canceled in the past months due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The transaction in the real estate, both rental and sales, significantly dropped, especially the condominium rental market, which heavily relies on the foreign expatriates.
