Ooredoo Myanmar said it has introduced a new app “My Ooredoo” that will deliver a “simpler experience” for its growing number of customers.
The app aims to enable customers to quickly access important information regarding their accounts to top up and to get access to Ooredoo’s products and services, the Qatari firm said.
“Under our IdeaBox programme, our start-up incubator initiatives and events such as our Hackathons, we’re working to stimulate a vibrant local ICT sector. This one, however, we made ourselves,” Ooredoo’s spokewoman Thiri Kyar Nyo said.
The app has been built in both Myanmar and English languages and makes use of widgets for easy navigation. It is available free of charge from the Google Play store.
Customers will be able to get up to the minute details of their account and make changes to their settings, as well as being able to view details of and have easy access to a wide range of products and services, Ooredoo said.
“We’ve listened to our customers and some have told us that whilst they appreciate the great value within services such as our fast Internet Packs, remembering details on how to subscribe to them can be challenging,” Thiri Kyar Nyo said.
“This handy solution provides both important information and simple access, straight from your phone. We are sure our customers will enjoy using it,” she added.
The app also enables customers to connect with Ooredoo’s free 24/7 contact centre and to leave tips and suggestions for further improvements.
