PTT Expands Lubricant Business in Myanmar

Thai petroleum industry leader PTT expanded its lubricant oil business in Myanmar by signing a deal appointing a local firm as its dealer in the country.

Tunn Star became the sole dealer of PTT’s lubricant products in Myanmar for five years, according to the contract.

PTT and Tunn Star have developed lubricant products in Myanmar for over six years and the partnership has resulted in the steady sales growth of PTT’s lubricant products, the firm said.

The PTT products have an 8 percent market share in Myanmar, making it the third largest lubricant seller in the Southeast Asian country.

The partnership is expected to raise the sales of PTT’s lubricant products in Myanmar to 15 million litres yearly in the next five years.
