Randy Cannon Group to Perform at Bangkok’s Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit

Jazz aficionados will be able to enjoy thrilling evenings of masterful musicianship from internationally acclaimed Randy Cannon Group for three consecutive nights on February 28, and March 1 and 2 at Bangkok’s Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit’s lounge bar and restaurant – The Living Room.

The Randy Cannon Group comprises Randy Cannon on piano, drummer Chris Sweeney and Thailand’s leading bass player, Therdsak Wongvichien.

Together the trio is expected to create a spontaneous soundscape of improvised jazz while the audience can enjoy a free flow promotional drinks package with a selection of six wines starting from THB1,200 per person from 20:00 to 23:00 hrs.

The Living Room, which goes by the tagline “It Simply Swings!”, is Bangkok’s premier jazz venue. Its lounge bar plays host to international jazz musicians every night – accompanied by a variety of specialty cocktails and delectable light meals.

Described as “a pianist of formidable gifts, and consistently galvanising rhythmic sensitivity” by jazz critic Leonard Feather of the Los Angeles Times, Randy Cannon’s performances are nothing short of breathtaking.

During his career he has performed live and on TV with stars as diverse as the legendary Bob Hope, ten-time Grammy award winner George Benson, jazz harmonica player Toots Thielemans, and saxophonist David Liebman.

Randy and friends will perform three sets, starting from 20:15 hrs.

Reservations can be made via phone, email or through Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit’s website. Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit is a “Luxury Collection”-branded hotel from American hotel chain Starwood Hotels and Resorts.
