The second China- ASEAN (Myanmar) Commodities exhibition in conjunction with Shandong Trade Fair (CAEM-2013) will be held at Tatmadaw Hall in Yangon in November, according to exhibition sources.
The exhibition, organised by China Foreign Trade Guangzhou Exhibition General Corp (CFTE), will take place from November 12-14.
A total of 140 booths will be set up for this year’s edition, up 87 percent from 2012, featuring more than 100 enterprises including Chinese agricultural products, food and beverages, building materials and chemical products, ceramics and gifts, clothing, accessories and textiles, electronic products, household goods, machinery and vehicles, stationery and toys.
The organisers claimed that a wide range of exhibits are already familiar to Myanmar people and have good market demand.
They also said the CAEM-2013 will provide buyers with product-related sourcing services to form a sourcing strategy as well as achieve zero-distance exchange between customers and manufacturers and offer solutions.
“The success of the first China-ASEAN (Myanmar) Commodities exhibition in 2012 marked that all circles in Myanmar could obtain the latest economic and market information about China and ASEAN countries through this platform,” CFTE said.
CAEM will further develop and deepen the bilateral trade and friendly exchange between China and Myanmar and achieve common development, it added.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the strategic partnership between China and ASEAN.
