Singapore Airlines (SIA) will provide a wider range of fares and personalized content to its travel trade partners in Myanmar from September 1, the airline said via a release on March 10.
The change comes via an expansion of the airline’s KrisConnect Program, which leverages new distribution technology to make available improved content and functionality through partner platforms.
Singapore Airlines will make content available through traditional Global Distribution System partners such as Amadeus, Sabre and Travelport, as well as new technology partners such as Travel Boutique Online and Travelfusion.
In addition, its travel agent portal, AGENT 360, will be enhanced to allow travel agents direct access to content via the KrisConnect Program.
SIA-appointed travel agents in Myanmar, including Columbus, Nice Fare and Sun Far, have expressed their interest in KrisConnect Program, the release said.
Campbell Wilson, the airline’s senior vice president for sales and marketing, said:
“Travelers’ expectations, whether it relates to their experience in the air or on the ground, are constantly evolving. Expectations about how, where and when they can access information, their ability to quickly and efficiently execute desired actions, and the demand for greater personalization, are all influenced by their experience with companies beyond the travel sector. The KrisConnect Program, and the technology upon which it sits, is key to meeting those expectations.”
