Thai Firm Eyes High-Rise Market in Myanmar

Thailand’s D&W (Asia) Co has signed a deal with local building contractor Home Construction (Myanmar) to expand its operation in the Southeast Asian nation.

According to a memorandum of understanding, Home Construction will help D&W expand its market in Myanmar, mainly by providing doors and windows for high-rise buildings.

D&W (Asia) is the exclusive producer of aluminium doors and windows under the Fletcher brand from New Zealand. It had supplied products to Home Construction for some time before deciding to enter into a partnership.

“Our products are highly suitable for condominiums and resort homes. The move to expand into Myanmar is to make the Fletcher brand more popular,” Suresh Subramaniam, D&W (Asia)’s managing director, told the Nation.

“Apart from Myanmar, we are also looking forward to expanding into other Asean Economic Community countries, with Cambodia as our next destination,” he was quoted as saying.
