The Yangon City Development Committee (YCDC) has invited tenders from interested local, foreign and joint venture companies for the implementation of seven different housing and car park building projects, according to an announcement.
The projects will be developed in accordance with plans approved or to be approved by the YCDC, it said.
The information on respective project will be stated in the instructions to bidders, and tenders shall be submitted for each project separately, the announcement said.
The tenders shall be submitted in two envelopes, one for technical proposal and the other for financial proposal, YCDC said, adding that the tenders shall be prepared in compliance with the “Instructions to Tenderers.”
The Committee said bidders may obtain further information about the tendering from its office at Engeering Department Building, Yangon City Development Committee, during office hours.
Tender documents for the project will be available at the above address from February 25 during office hours.
The announcement said a complete set of each of tender documents for Housing Projects (North Okkalapa Township, Dagon Myothit (North) Township) and Affordable Housing Project (Dagon Myothit (East) Township) may be purchased upon payment of non-refundable fee of $300 by means of overseas account transfer to current account No. – 1 – DA – 06-91886 (MFTB), Myanmar Foreign Trade Bank, Yangon or upon payment of non-refundable fee of K300,000 to Yangon City Bank Account No, DY-9 through the above department.
A complete set of each of tender documents for the rest of the projects may be purchased upon payment of non-refundable fee of $500 or K500,000.
YCDC said the tenders shall be delivered to the above office on or before 1400 hrs, March 31. Any tender submitted after the designated date and time will not be considered, it added.
The announcement said tenders for Housing Projects (North Okkalapa Township, Dagon Myothit (North) Township) and Affordable Housing Project (Dagon Myothit (East) Township) must be accompanied by tender security in the form of a bank guarantee valid for six months in the amount of $50,000 issued by local or foreign bank, which must be correspondent bank of Myanma Foreign Trade Bank, Yangon. The amount of tender security in the form of bank guarantee for the rest of the projects will be $100,000.
The tenders will be opened in a session to be held at the office of Yangon City Development Committee in the presence of representatives of bidders on the date and time as may be notified to the bidders, YCDC said.
