The Yangon City Development Committee (YCDC) will take legal actions not only against the owner but also against anyone involved in the construction process of such developments including construction workers, an YCDC source said.

Currently, there are about 1,200 establishments that are being built without YCDC’s permission in Yangon, and actions will be take in accordance to the law, he said.

“Even the construction workers will be fined,” the source said requesting anonymity.
