Singapore-based Yoma Strategic Holdings Ltd has won the “Best Developer” award at the inaugural Myanmar Property Awards held in Yangon.
The company’s flagship project “Star City Thanlyin” also won the “Best Landscape Architecture” award and got shortlisted for the “Best Interior” and “Best Residential”.
Star City Thanlyin is 70 percent owned by Yoma Strategic and 30 percent by First Myanmar Investment Company Limited (FMI), an affiliate of Yoma Strategic.
“Galaxy Towers” at Star City Thanlyin received a “highly commended” certificate for the residential category.
Cyrus Pun, head of real estate and executive director of Yoma Strategic, said, “Perhaps one of the strongest advantages we have over our competitors is the breadth and strength of our team, having a good mix of top tier experienced international professionals and long serving staff with the depth of local knowledge.
“With the rise in standards across the whole industry, we are confident that our strong team is well placed to innovate our products and services to drive excellence in this sector.”
These awards are part of the decade-old Asia Property Awards organised by Ensign Media, which is also the publisher of real estate publication Property Report magazine.
The award ceremony was the result of a six-month nomination process and site visits conducted by an independent panel of judges.
