The organisers of the Yoma Yangon International Marathon 2015 (YYIM 2015) have urged runners interested in participating to register for the event before the deadline ends on December 12.
The YYIM 2015 will take place on January 11 next year, and 4,000 runners will take to the streets of Yangon as part of the nation’s largest marathon event, according to event organisers Yoma Strategic, First Myanmar Investment (FMI) and Yangon City Development Committee (YCDC).
Registrations can be made in person at the FMI Centre, No 308, Bogyoke Aung San road, Panbedan township.
International participants are able to register by logging onto https://1xcess.com/registration/event/Yangon2015.
The YYIM 2015 race categories and registration fees are as captured in the table below.
Participants must be aged 16 years and older as of 31 December 2015 to participate in the Full Marathon (42.195km) and Half Marathon categories. Participants must be 12 years and older as of 31 December 2015 to participate in the 10km Challenge category. There are no age restrictions for the 3km Fun Run/ Walk category.
